What is this about?
We are a group of anarchists from Tampere, and we want to channel our hope and love for a free life into action, so we built Solitraktori.
Solitraktori’s goal is to find as many monthly donors as possible for Solidarity Collectives (Колективи Солідарності) within six months, while also organizing collective discussions on topics such as preparing for war and the different meanings of self-defense.
If you are not familiar with Solidarity Collectives, it is an anti-authoritarian collective operating in Ukraine that provides material support to anarchists and anti-authoritarians fighting on the front lines, as well as to civilians and animals caught in the crossfire of war.
Why are we as anarchists organizing against Russia’s invasion?
We want to build the conditions for a free life and reflect broadly on the meaning of self-defense for our society and communities. It is clear to us that we anti-authoritarians, activists, representatives of sexual and gender minorities, trade unionists, and other opponents of totalitarianism would not exist even in this form if we were under Putin’s rule—in Ukraine or Finland.
As militarization intensifies and borders close, we need different visions. We need discussions, organization, and various forms of cooperation against those forces. Resistance thrives on examples and inspiration.
How can you get involved?
Become a monthly donor! Click here and join SolCol’s Patreon. All you need is your email address and a decision on how much you want to donate each month. All monthly donors will receive a postcard made by David Tšytškan, an anarchist and painter who fell in battle, as a thank you. Just send us a screenshot showing your monthly donation amount, and you can pick up your card at one of our upcoming events!
We also invite you to become monthly donors as groups, groups of friends, neighbors, coworkers, sauna buddies, craft clubs, or whatever else brings you together. Solitraktori’s goal is collective strength, not increasing the burden on individuals.
